What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is an EVM network built with Arbitrum Orbit, the deployment stack behind Arbitrum and its family of chains. Execution is Nitro’s EVM, so Solidity contracts, twenty-byte addresses, receipts and event logs take the shapes an EVM pipeline already reads, and block ordering is set by a sequencer the chain operates rather than by an open validator set. Settlement runs through the Arbitrum stack to Ethereum instead of being posted to L1 directly. Gas is paid in ETH, and the chain has no native asset of its own. The network is permissionless, so anyone can deploy to it, but it is built around tokenized real-world assets, and instruments of that kind are permissioned by construction: the contract checks whether an account may hold the asset, and the issuer keeps powers an ordinary token does not grant, including minting against custody and redeeming against it. Robinhood’s tokenized stock work started on Arbitrum One in 2025, a year before this chain reached mainnet, which is why comparable instruments exist on both networks.
